About Us
The Beginning
The British Alumni Association is a society of UK graduates residing in Pakistan. It was formed as a part of the British Council's global alumni development initiative to provide a forum whereby individuals of diverse academic backgrounds, having returned from their studies in the United Kingdom, may interact with each other and freely exchange opinions and ideas.
Formed in 2003 by the ex-Deputy High Commissioner Mr. David Peary, the British Alumni Association operates on a national scale with chapters in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.
Objectives
Our most fundamental goal is to create a network of UK graduates in Pakistan which can be further used to initiate socially beneficial, collaborative projects.
Our basic objectives can be summarized as:
- To provide a fourm for alumni of British Universities to interact with each other.
- To promote and enhance the interest and welfare of members of the Alumni.
- To promote and encourage mutually beneficial "networking" among our members.
- To provide a forum for academic debate on matters affecting Pakistan and the UK
